The Initiate
Some people notice patterns. Blackstone notices them back.
Abram Mathews sees pressure before it breaks — payroll delays, freight reroutes, staffing alerts, weather shifts. Then a hidden institution tells him the pattern is real.
Inside the book
The future is not random to everyone.
Abram Mathews has always noticed the small signals that gather before a bad day tips into something worse. Most people call the connections coincidence. Blackstone House has spent generations studying them.
Inside Blackstone, one faction sees those pressure windows as warnings. Another sees leverage. Pulled into old records, secret rooms and masked halls, Abram must decide who can be trusted before the next pressure point opens — and who intends to use it.
